RULES IN PENINSULAR MALAYSIA FOREST ECO PARK & FOREST RESERVE
To ensure the safety, cleanliness, and preservation of our forest reserves, it is important for all visitors to adhere to the following regulations and guidelines. By following these rules, we can help maintain the natural beauty of the forests and ensure that they remain enjoyable and safe for everyone.
RULES IN FOREST RESERVE
VANDALISM AND DAMAGE
Strictly prohibited to engage in vandalism, damage, or destroy plants and facilities within the forest reserve.
TAKING AND LEAVING
Do not take anything except photographs and leave nothing but footprints.
CLEANLINESS
Always maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the forest reserve.
FIRE USAGE
Supervise the use of fire to prevent fires or destruction of the forest area.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Activities such as hiking, fishing, staying in chalets/log-cabins, and camping require permission from the management.
REMINDER
The management is not responsible for any incidents that occur to visitors or their belongings while in the forest reserve.
PENALTIES
LITTERING
Use the provided trash bins. Littering is an offense and can be fined up to RM 10,000 or imprisoned for up to three years, or both. [Section 83(2), National Forestry Act 1984 (Amendment 1993)]
TAKING FOREST PRODUCTS
Taking forest products without permission can be fined up to RM 500,000 and imprisoned for one to twenty years. [Section 15(2), National Forestry Act 1984 (Amendment 1993)]
CUTTING AND DAMAGING TREES
Cutting or damaging trees without permission can be fined up to RM 50,000 or imprisoned for up to five years, or both. [Section 81(2)(b), National Forestry Act 1994 (Amendment 1993)]
FIRE USAGE WITHOUT PERMISSION
Starting a fire without permission can be fined up to RM 50,000 or imprisoned for up to five years, or both. [Section 82(2), National Forestry Act 1984 (Amendment 1993)]
GUIDELINES SELECTING A CAMPSITE FOR CAMPING IN THE FOREST RESERVE
FLAT GROUND
Choose a flat campsite for easy tent setup and comfort. Avoid areas with tree roots or rocks.
NEAR WATER SOURCE
Ensure clean water for cooking and cleaning. Verify water cleanliness to avoid health issues.
AWAY FROM DEAD BRANCHES
Avoid areas with dead branches that could pose a hazard during strong winds or rain.
ELEVATED SITES
Choose elevated sites to avoid flooding.
EASE OF ASSISTANCE
Select sites near areas where help is accessible in case of emergency.
FUEL AVAILABILITY
Ensure easy access to firewood or other fuel sources.
SAFETY
Ensure the site is free from wild animals and external intruders.
TENT SAFETY
Do not use mosquito coils inside or near tents.
AVOID COOKING INSIDE TENTS.
Keep tents clean and closed when not in use.
NO SMOKING INSIDE TENTS.
CAMPING SAFETY RULES
Follow all safety instructions and maintain campsite cleanliness.
Prioritize health, food, drink, clothing, and campsite aspects.
Avoid hazardous activities and report any issues to the mountain guide, team leader or camp facilitator.
Do not swim outside designated times.
Prohibited to possess dangerous weapons, drugs, or illegal items.
Do not damage or destroy plants around the campsite.
WATERFALL/RIVER/LAKE/POOL SAFETY GUIDELINES
Individuals with health issues are prohibited from entering bodies of water.
Swimmers must follow instructions from guides in charge and authority.
Wear appropriate and suitable swimwear.
No rough play around bodies of water
Prohibit rough play or jumping indiscriminately in water areas.
Exit water bodies during Rain or thunderstorms for safety.
No eating or Drinking around water areas.
No spitting in water areas is prohibited to maintain cleanliness.
Swim at Own Risk. The management and organizer is not responsible for accidents occurring to swimmers.
The defined area includes a 4-meter radius around waterfalls, rivers, lakes, or pools.
